Only a small amount of air is released that makes a sound. The large amount of air within the balloon provides force to your singing. You support that balloon with your rib muscles and back muscles. Support Remember ... we do not control our diaphragm. It is a reactionary muscle that simply reacts to our breath, drawing the lungs down and pushing them back up to take in and expel air.
